The Workplace & Events Coordinator is responsible for the planning and execution of various company activities and events. In addition to being an integral member of the Workplace team by taking care of various administrative and office related tasks.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Plan and facilitate all company-wide events, activities, and team-buildings from conception to execution
- Manage budgets and contracts
- Maintain good relationships with vendors
- Create marketing material for various DRW sponsored events
- Manage event related participant surveys; collect, synthesize, and present gathered data to leadership.
- Manage and distribute annual vendor holiday gifts/cards
- Serve as point of contact for in-office employee experience initiatives
- Keep track of employee’s accomplishments (marriages, milestones, babies, work anniversaries, etc.)
- Maintain conference rooms and supply stations
- Coordinate small facilities repairs (light bulb changes, installations, etc.) with building’s maintenance team
- Clean and tidy public office spaces
- Running errands and performing miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
- Second back up for Reception sick days/vacations/lunch hours
- Back up support for travel coordinator
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or higher education
- At least 1-2 years of experience in a similar capacity
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Outlook for email and calendaring and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Confidence, initiative, and the ability to learn new things quickly
- Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Detail oriented and extremely accurate
- Proven ability to multitask, prioritize and take direction from multiple sources
- Creative and an out of the box thinker
- A knowledge in Photoshop, Canva or other design platforms is an asset
